Political Campaign Ad
"Sleepy Phone" is a political advertisement conceptualized and commissioned by
Trilogy Interactive for Senator Chuck E. Schumer's 2022 campaign that centers
around the Senator's iconic - and overworked - flip phone.
I directed this animation using a paper cut-out style. In a whirlwind shoot, I worked with the film crew to direct the Senator as he performed the actions in the 30-second spot. Each scene features a selection of frames from the video shoot that were isolated,
printed, cut out, re-shot, and composited as stop motion animation.
